Description
This one of my first completely successful gum prints while learning the process. I used brown and red pigment for a rusty brick like color. It was printed on Summerset paper which is very fibery and rough, yet flat. My printer at the time was an old junker not capable of photo quality, so there is a slight grainy pattern in the higher toned areas. This was shot on a 4x5 camera and the silver print was scanned to make the transparency for this print. I shot this at a dumpster on the SMU campus which was locked for some reason. I enjoy that there is a dark and light lock, and the pull of gravity upon them. I also always loved the white trash in the background filtering through the slats of the fence.
