Description

I remember it was cold the day this was shot, with bone chilling winds blowing off the open lake nearby. I got down low and place the camera directly within the shadow of this tree to block the direct light of the sun while retaining the bright glow of the sky.

while printing I used several layers of color, manipulating certain areas with a brush during development. I also used a stylus to draw marks into the pigment, echoing the direction of the tree's branches and the foliage in the background
