This is a busy and mysterious photograph. Immediately we see the shadow of a person cast upon the wall and the odd perspective down a ladder. There is also another ladder to the bottom left going down to somewhere. There are two human figures, but only the projection of one of their shadows gives us a familiar human shape. A doorway, a chair, electrical wires, and ambiguous darkness let your eyes run around the image for some time.

This was shot candidly while on the roof of a local shopping mall with some friends who had access one very cold and windy winter night in 2008. I printed it a few years later.
